Product Performance

• The appearance of the heel blood collector should be clean, free of obvious burrs, stains and defects and other injection defects; the blade should not have defects such as burrs and hooks.
• The heel blood collection device is well assembled, and the shell fits without obvious misalignment.
• The surface hardness of the blade is not less than 350HV10; the surface roughness Ra value of the blade is not more than 0.4μm.
• The corrosion resistance of the blade of the heel blood collection device should reach level b (corrosion marks can be removed by wiping).
• The blade of the heel blood collector can be retracted after use, and the blade is in the housing.
• The sterilization method is irradiation sterilization, and the product should be sterile

Usage Method

1. Put the baby on his back, clean the area where the blood is to be collected with a sterile cotton pad, and let it dry naturally, and do not touch the sterilized area.
2. Remove the outer packaging of the blood sampling device. Do not place the blood sampling device in an unsterilized place. Remove the safety buckle of the blood sampling device. Do not push the launch button or touch the blade.
3. Raise the baby's feet to a position higher than his heart, choose a safe blood collection position according to the "Schematic Diagram of Infant Blood Collection", and align the blood collection port of the blood collection device vertically at the blood collection site.
4. When the flat end of the blood sampling port is in light contact with the skin, press the launch button to collect blood, and quickly move the blood sampling device to the blood collection site.
5. Gently wipe off the first drop of blood with dry sterile gauze.
6.1 Appropriate light pressure, use the blood sample collection tube to collect an appropriate amount of blood sample, after the blood collection, use dry sterile gauze to lightly press the incision to stop the bleeding and prevent hematoma.
6.2 Appropriate light pressure, drop the blood directly on the blood carrier card for sampling, and collect at least 3 blood spots in a row. After blood sampling, use dry sterile gauze to lightly press the incision to stop the bleeding and prevent hematoma.

Contraindication

1. Unless absolutely necessary, do not use it for infants (including fever).
2. Do not collect blood samples repeatedly at the same location.
3. Do not use for infants with swelling, infection or inflammation at the puncture site.
4. Do not use for infants and young children whose puncture site is damaged by skin diseases or skin.
5. Avoid selecting the skin that has been sampled and within 2mm of the sampling point as the blood sampling location.

Matters Needing Attention

1. If the safety buckle of the blood collection device is lost or broken, do not use it.
2. The blood collection device is for one-time use, please replace with a new blood collection device every time you collect blood.
3. The safe area for infants and young children to take blood samples is to draw a line parallel to the side of the foot from the middle of the fourth toe and a line parallel to the side of the foot from the big toe.
4. When disinfecting the blood collection site, the disinfection diameter should be more than 2cm.
5. Underdeveloped blood vessels may cause insufficient blood flow.
6. If the heel needs to be warmed up, 42°C-44°C is beneficial to promote blood flow, but over 44°C will cause burns.
7. The blood collection device should be close to the blood collection site and the needle should be inserted vertically, but not too hard, so as not to cause a deeper and harmful wound depth.
8. When using the blood collection device, be alert at all times to avoid accidentally injuring yourself and others.
9. After blood collection, you must pay attention to the place where the blood is taken to prevent recurring bleeding or inflammation.
10. The blood collection device is sterilized by irradiation, and the validity period is 3 years. If it exceeds the validity period, it is strictly prohibited to use it.
11. The blood sampling device after use may be contagious and cannot be discarded at will to prevent pollution and injury

Keep In Storage

It should be stored in an environment where the relative humidity does not exceed 80%, the temperature does not exceed 45°C, and there is no corrosive gas, in a cool, dry, well-ventilated, and clean environment.
