The spiral pipe conveyor is welded with continuous spiral blades in the cylindrical shell, which rotates with the spiral blades. Join materials due to the action of the centrifugal force and friction force with casing rotation and promotion, in the material under the action of gravity and slide along the spiral surface, make the material with spiral pipe rotation so as to realize the material to move forward, like not rotating along the rotation of screw nut for translational motion, to achieve the purpose of conveying material.

Low energy consumption and low maintenance cost; When feeding at the end, it can meet the requirements of uneven feeding, and can complete various technological requirements such as conveying, mixing and so on at the same time. When the material enters too much, it will not produce stuck phenomenon. Convenient for multi-point loading and unloading, conveying materials with high temperature. Suitable for horizontal conveying of high temperature materials; It has good adaptability to high temperature, non-uniform material supply, materials with anti-breakage requirements and anti-pollution requirements, and processes requiring multi-point loading and unloading. It has been proved in practice that the transportation of cement clinker, dry limestone, phosphate rock, ilmenite powder, coal and slag is effective.

The particle size of the material added by the feed inlet at the end shall not be greater than 1/4 spiral diameter; The size of the material fed from the intermediate feed inlet shall not be greater than 30 mm. The feeding temperature must be controlled below 300℃ to ensure that the cylinder does not deform. The wear of the blade and the material groove is very serious when the machine is transporting the material with great abrasives. The spiral conveyor designed in this paper mainly USES and transports silicon micro powder, which has great grinding property, so it is not suitable to use spiral pipe conveyor.

Application and Features

One, screw conveyor selection

(1) Application scope and characteristics

(1) Screw conveyor is widely used in chemical industry, building materials, food and other departments of a conveying equipment, mainly used for conveying powder, granular and small pieces of material. It is not suitable for conveying perishable, viscous and easily caked materials.

(2) The ambient temperature used by the screw conveyor is -20~50℃; Inclination Angle of conveyor ≤20°; The conveying length is generally less than 40m and the longest is no more than 70m.

(3) Compared with other conveying equipment, spiral conveying has the advantages of simple structure, small cross section size, good sealing performance, multi-point loading and unloading in the middle, safe and convenient operation and low manufacturing cost. Its disadvantages are severe wear, low throughput, high power consumption and easy breakage of materials during transportation.

(2) Classification and structural characteristics

(1) There are three types of spiral blades of the screw conveyor: solid spiral plane, belt spiral plane and blade spiral plane. The solid helical surface is called S method, and its helical pitch GX type is 0.8 times of blade diameter. The LS type helical conveyor is suitable for conveying powder and granular materials. Belt helical surface is also known as D method. Its helical pitch is the same as the diameter of helical blade, which is suitable for conveying powder and small pieces of material. Blade type helical surface is rarely used, mainly used for conveying materials with high viscosity and compressibility. During the conveying process, mixing and other procedures are completed at the same time. The helical pitch is about 1.2 times of the diameter of the helical blade.

(2) The spiral blade of the screw conveyor has left and right rotation.

(3) The type of screw conveyor includes horizontal fixed screw conveyor and vertical screw conveyor. Horizontal fixed screw conveyor is one of the most commonly used types. The vertical screw conveyor is used for lifting materials in a short distance, and the conveying height is generally no more than 8m. The spiral blade is of solid surface type, and it must have horizontal screw feeding to ensure the necessary feeding pressure.

(4) The material outlet end of LS and GX spiral conveyor should be equipped with 1/2~1 turn of reverse spiral piece to prevent the powder from blocking the end.

(5) The screw conveyor is composed of three parts: the screw machine itself, the material inlet and outlet and the driving device.

The screw machine body is composed of head bearing, tail bearing, suspension bearing, screw, casing, cover plate and base, etc.

The driving device is composed of an electric motor, a reducer, a coupling and a base.
