The Quectel EC25-AF is an LTE Cat 4 module optimized for M2M and IoT applications, delivering maximum data rates of 150 Mbps downlink and 50 Mbps uplink. Designed for the North American market, this module supports LTE-FDD bands B2/4/5/12/13/14/66/71 and WCDMA bands B2/4/5, providing comprehensive network coverage across major carriers including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Rogers, and Telus.
The module features a compact LCC package measuring 29.0 × 32.0 × 2.4 mm and operates within a temperature range of -35°C to +75°C, with extended temperature support from -40°C to +85°C. It includes an optional multi-constellation GNSS receiver supporting GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS for accurate positioning capabilities.
The EC25-AF offers extensive connectivity through multiple interfaces including USB 2.0 high speed, dual UART, dual SDIO, I2C, SGMII, PCM digital audio, dual ADC, and optional dual GRFC. It also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Voice capabilities include AMR/AMR-WB codec modes with echo cancellation and noise suppression, plus optional digital audio and VoLTE support.
Enhanced features include DTMF, DFOTA, QMI/RmNet, QuecLocator, QuecFile, (U)SIM card detection, and SMS functionality. The module provides comprehensive driver support for Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11, Linux 2.6-6.5, and Android 4.x-13.x operating systems, including USB serial, GNSS, RIL, NDIS, MBIM, GobiNet, and QMI_WWAN drivers.
Operating on a supply voltage range of 3.3-4.3V (3.8V typical), the EC25-AF demonstrates efficient power consumption with 10 μA in power-off mode, 1.0 mA in sleep mode, and 23.3 mA in idle mode. The module holds certifications from GCF, PTCRB, FCC, IC, RoHS, and WHQL, ensuring global compliance and reliability for diverse IoT and M2M deployments.
