Chromium (Cr) is an essential mineral which was first demonstrated by Schwarz and Mertz in rats and by Jeejebhoy, et al., (1977)in humans. Over the recent couple of decades, Cr has been considered to play a vital role in livestock and poultry production. Cr is not only an essential micromineral required for protein, lipid, carbohydrate and nucleic acid metabolism, but also additionally activates certain enzyme system and stabilizes protein.
Chromium is an essential trace mineral that plays an important role in poultry nutrition and health. Chromium is used in poultry diet because of its anti-stress effects, various nutritional and immune enhancing effects. Chromium propionate has beneficial impacts on metabolism of nutrient, growth performance, feed efficiency and immune health in poultry. Moreover, it is very helpful in stressed condition. The chromium requirement of various species of poultry are the areas that warrant attention.
Chromium plays an important role in poultry nutrition, production and health as well as enhances growth performance. Chromium is also a potent hypocholesteremic and antioxidant agent. The dietary Cr has useful impacts on feed utilization, antioxidant defense system, immune response, lean carcass quality, growth and production indices and quality of egg.
Main Functions Amino acids are often used in dietary supplements in animal feed. As a feed for animals, amino acids enhance the metabolic rate and provide nutrition to animals such as cattle, broilers, and pigs. Along with this, feed amino acids help in maintaining health, reproduction, and lactation of animals.
Application The product is intended to be used in compound feed for all growing poultry species to provide a minimum of 0.2 and a maximum of 0.4 mg organic Cr/kg complete feed. The additive should be incorporated in feed via premixtures. The additive can be used during the complete life cycle of all growing poultry species without any withdrawal period.
Safety the use of KemTRACE-Cr in animal nutrition under the proposed conditions of use is safe for the consumer.
Store Store in a cool place. Keep the container closed and store in a dry, ventilated place. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In the case of skin-to-skin contact, rinse with soap and plenty of water. In the case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If taken by mistake, do not feed anything from the mouth of the unconscious person. Rinse your mouth with water.
