The KCD2-RR2-Ex1.SP is a high-precision 1-channel isolated barrier from Pepperl+Fuchs' K-System, specifically engineered to transfer resistance values from RTDs (Pt100, Pt500, Pt1000) or potentiometers located in hazardous areas to safe area control systems. This signal conditioner provides complete galvanic isolation between field and control circuits while maintaining exceptional measurement accuracy.
With a compact 12.5 mm width and 24 V DC power supply (via Power Rail or terminals), the KCD2-RR2-Ex1.SP supports 2-, 3-, or 4-wire techniques depending on the required accuracy, ensuring the input card of the control system measures the same load as if it were connected directly to the resistance in the hazardous area.
Certified for SIL 2 acc. to IEC/EN 61508 and approved for hazardous area installation with [Ex ia Ga] IIC, [Ex ia Da] IIIC, and [Ex ia Ma] I certifications, the KCD2-RR2-Ex1.SP delivers reliable, safety-rated performance for temperature measurement and resistance signal transfer in explosive atmospheres.
