Product Overview
The R-SP-E12 is a FieldConnex® Segment Protector designed for cabinet installation in hazardous areas (Zone 1 / Div. 2). It provides 12 individually short-circuit-protected spur outputs (Ex e) for connecting field instruments on FOUNDATION Fieldbus H1 or PROFIBUS PA segments. Each spur has independent current limitation to prevent a fault on one device from bringing down the entire bus segment. The unit features an integrated selectable 100 Ω terminating resistor, trunk/spur surge protection, and diagnostic LEDs (Power, Bus Activity, Termination ON, Channel Error). It is housed in a resin-filled polycarbonate enclosure for DIN rail mounting and carries ATEX / IECEx Ex eb mb IIC T4 Gb certification.
