Product Overview
The Festo MHP2-MS1H-5/2-M5 is a single-solenoid 5/2-way directional control valve from the compact MHP2 series, designed for controlling double-acting pneumatic actuators. It features G1/8" main air ports, M5 pilot exhaust/Supply ports, and is fitted with a 24 V DC solenoid coil (MS1H type). The valve is monostable (spring return to home position on de-energization) and is suitable for individual mounting or manifold assembly in machine automation panels.

Spring Return Safety: On loss of power or air, the spool returns to home position (typically Exhaust Port 4, Pressurize Port 2 — check port labeling on your manifold) — provides fail-safe behavior for clamp/hold applications.
M5 Pilot Ports: Small pilot port threads allow neat wiring in tight panels; pilot exhaust is typically vented to atmosphere or collected in a common exhaust manifold.
Manual Override: Built-in push-button allows hand-actuation during setup without energizing the coil.

Double-Acting Cylinder Control: Extend/retract control of ISO 6432 (∅12–∅32 mm) or small ISO 15552 cylinders on pick-place and clamping stations.
Machine Safety Air Isolation: Spring-return ensures air is dumped from the "dangerous" side of the cylinder on E-STOP or guard open (when plumbed accordingly).
Test Rigs & Jigs: Compact individual valve for localized actuator control with manual override for trial runs.
Manifold Expansion: Can be added to an existing MHP2 manifold (check slot width compatibility — MHP2 = 18 mm wide per station).
Note: For double-solenoid (bistable / memory) version see MHP2-MD1H-5/2-M5. The M5 pilot ports differentiate this from larger CPV series which use G1/8 pilot ports. Manifold base (e.g., MHP2-FB-G18-FB…) and silencers (UM-…-M5) are ordered separately if not using a prefabricated manifold assembly.
