The Pepperl+Fuchs NBB2-8GM30-E2 is a flush-mountable inductive proximity sensor from the NBB (Narrow Body Barrel) M8 series, designed for non-contact detection of ferrous metal targets in space-constrained machine areas. It features an M8×1 nickel-plated brass threaded housing, 2 mm nominal sensing range (Sn) when flush-mounted, PNP Normally Open (NO) output, and a 2 m fixed PVC cable. Powered by 10–30 V DC, it is widely used for cylinder position feedback, part-presence verification, and index sensing on compact automation equipment.

Fixed 2m Cable: Pre-wired with oil-resistant PVC cable — no separate M8 connector needed; suitable for direct home-run to terminal block or junction box.

Applications
Cylinder Position Feedback: Detecting extended/retracted position of small pneumatic cylinders via a metal target on the rod or tie-rod.
Part Presence in Nest: Verifying a stamped or machined part is correctly seated in a fixture before clamping.
Index / Registration Mark: Sensing a ferrous tab on a rotating dial or cam for homing/sequence start.
Tight-Space Automation: Any application where an M12 or M18 sensor would be too large.

The 3-wire brown/blue/black cable coloring follows IEC 60947-5-6 standard — observe PNP truth table: sensor sees metal → Black = HIGH (≈ supply voltage); no target → Black = LOW (0 V).
