Product Overview
The Endress+Hauser CPS72D-7PT21 is a Memosens 2.0 digital pH and redox (ORP) electrode from the CPS72D series, specially designed for measurement in low-conductivity media such as boiler feedwater, condensate, and demineralized water. It features a double-junction (dual-chamber) gel reference system with KNO₃ salt bridge, PTFE annular diaphragm, and a Pg 13.5 process connection. The sensor provides both pH (0–14) and mV (ORP) measurement with an integrated NTC 30 kΩ temperature sensor, making it the preferred choice over the standard CPS11D when measuring in high-purity or low-ionic-strength waters.

Optimized for Low Ionic Strength: The double-junction KNO₃ reference minimizes junction potential drift and asymmetry in demineralized water, condensate, or boiler feedwater — a key advantage over the single-junction CPS11D in pure-water applications.
Memosens 2.0 Digital: Contactless inductive coupling prevents moisture ingress at the connector; stores calibration data, serial number, and operating hours in the sensor head for lab pre-calibration and plug-and-play replacement.
Dual-Purpose (pH + ORP): Can be used for pH measurement or as a high-impedance ORP electrode in the same installation — useful for redundancy or process validation.
Robust Reference Design: PTFE ring diaphragm + gel double-chamber provides resistance to poisoning (sulfide, cyanide) and extends service life in moderately contaminated media.

Power & Utility: pH monitoring in boiler feedwater, condensate return, and demineralized (DI/RO) water loops.
Semiconductor / High-Purity Water: UPW (Ultra-Pure Water) pH verification in rinse or make-up systems (within sensor's low-conductivity capability).
Pharmaceutical Water Systems: WFI loop and purified water pH trend monitoring.
General Water/Wastewater: Where low-ionic-strength samples are encountered, or as an upgrade to CPS11D for improved reference stability.
Note: For standard municipal wastewater/neutralization duties (higher ionic strength), the CPS11D-7BA21 / CPS11D-7BA2G is typically sufficient and more economical. Choose CPS72D when measuring in low-conductivity (< 50 µS/cm) or high-purity waters to avoid drifting reference potentials.
