Product Overview
The Danfoss EV220B 40 (typically ordered as EV220B-40B0400 with coil specified separately) is a pilot-operated 2/2-way (normally closed) solenoid valve from the EV220B series, designed for automatic shut-off or flow control of neutral and slightly aggressive media. It features a DN40 (1½") BSP threaded connection, a brass body, and is available with NBR, EPDM, or FKM (Viton) seals depending on the medium. The valve requires a minimum pressure differential of 0.3 bar to shift open (pilot-assisted) and is suitable for water, compressed air, oils, and low-viscosity fluids in HVAC, irrigation, and industrial process lines.

Note: The EV220B is pilot-operated and requires minimum 0.3 bar pressure differential — it will NOT open on zero differential (tank gravity drain with no backpressure). For zero-minimum-differential (direct lift) at DN40, see Danfoss EV210B or EV310B series (typically smaller DN). Coil and seal material must be specified at time of order — example complete part: EV220B-40B0400 (body) + 018F6758 (230V AC 8W BF coil) + DIN connector.
