The anode protection acid cooler is a specialized shell-and-tube heat exchanger engineered for cooling high-temperature, high-concentration corrosive acid media. Working Principle
The system operates through controlled anodic polarization. A stable external electric potential is applied to the stainless steel surface in contact with acid medium, pushing the metal into a stable passive state. This process forms a dense, anti-corrosive passivation film that effectively isolates the metal matrix from corrosive acids.
This technology reduces the annual corrosion rate to 0.01-0.03mm—significantly lower than unprotected equipment—while cooling water circulates inside the tube bundle to conduct efficient heat exchange.
Structural Design
The equipment features a fully welded compact structure with acid flowing on the shell side and cooling water on the tube side. Precision monitoring and control electrodes enable real-time adjustment of polarization parameters to ensure stable, reliable protection under variable temperature and concentration conditions.
