T-551 Metal Deactivator
DESCRIPTION
T-551 is a benzotriazole derivative. It can form an inert film on metal surfaces or chelate with metal ions. It effectively restrains the catalytic oxidation caused by metal ions, improves the oxidation resistance of lubricants and inhibits copper corrosion, thus greatly extending the service life of oil products. With short molecular chain and high nitrogen content, it shows remarkable synergistic effect when compounded with antioxidants such as T501. It can strengthen the overall anti-oxidation performance. It is widely used in HL machine tool oils, turbine oils and other industrial lubricants.
Note: It has strong alkalinity, so avoid contact with acidic additives and ZDDP to prevent chemical reactions.
FEATURES

2. Excellent metal protection: Form an inert film and chelate barrier on metal surfaces to resist oxidation and other harmful reactions and protect metal components.
3. Good synergistic performance: When combined with antioxidants, it can significantly suppress metal-catalyzed oxidation of oil, strengthen protection and improve lubricant stability.
It can be used in industrial oil, engine oil, marine oil, grease.

It is nonflammable, non-explosive and in-corrosive, and it is same as the common petroleum products in the aspects of security, environmental protection and use etc. Special protection is not needed.
