Momentive RTV1473 is a one-component, black silicone rubber sealant designed for formed-in-place gasketing applications requiring oil resistance. Its thixotropic paste consistency allows application on vertical or overhead surfaces without sagging (up to 6mm thickness). The product cures at room temperature upon exposure to atmospheric moisture, forming a resilient elastomeric gasket while releasing acetic acid vapor as a byproduct.
