DCT is a high purity solvent blend designed to reduce the viscosity of Electrolube Conformal Coatings, including DCA (SCC3 Clear), DCB (Black), DCR (Red), DCRT (High Build), FSC, FSCP, and CPL. Its primary use is to dilute and maintain coating viscosity for dip and spray applications, ensuring consistent performance in industrial processes.

Enhanced Properties

DCT exhibits critical properties such as a low flash point of 27°C, indicating high flammability, and requires use in well-ventilated areas to avoid ignition sources. Its colourless appearance and density of 0.87 g/ml at 20°C ensure easy handling and compatibility with coatings. The RoHS compliance (2015/863/EU) confirms environmental safety, while the 36-month shelf life supports long-term storage. Packaging options (1L and 5L bulk) facilitate flexible industrial use.

Application Scenarios

DCT is used for dip coating to maintain viscosity in open tanks, compensating for solvent evaporation to ensure consistent coating thickness based on tank volume, temperature, and usage rate. For spray coating, it prevents cob-webbing by adding thinners at a ratio of approximately 2:1 (coating to thinners), requiring thorough stirring and bubble dispersion. Additionally, DCT cleans metal equipment like spray guns. Specific ratios and usage depend on ambient conditions.
