Product Introduction
Designed to prevent loosening and leakage in high-vibration environments, LOCTITE 680 bonds active metals (e.g., mild steel) and passive substrates (e.g., stainless steel, plated surfaces). It offers oil tolerance and high-temperature resistance, enabling immediate functional use after curing. NSF 61 certified for potable water systems ≤82°C (regional approval applies).
Product Special Attributes
Unique UV fluorescence enables quality control inspection. Achieves compressive shear strength ≥24.1 N/mm² (3,500 psi) after 1 hour @93°C. Withstands intermittent temperatures up to 177°C and maintains >80% strength after 1,000 hours in motor oil, gasoline, and acids. Cold-flow properties allow sealing in gaps up to 0.15 mm.
