Thermal lamination film is produced by multi-extrusion coating lines and consists of two layers: a plastic film (primarily BOPP or PET film) and an adhesive glue layer of EVA. Also known as dry, hot, or heat lamination film.
Thermal Lamination Film rolls are used in printing houses for commercial and school printings, as well as graphic arts large format applications. The transparent film lamination (bright/shine/glossy or matte/dull) is heated as protection on paper covers, sometimes referred to as paper lamination film.

The lamination process joins two or more layers to protect prints. A hot laminator (thermal/heat/dry lamination roller machine) is used to melt the EVA adhesive onto paper surfaces. The film passes over a heated roller and, under reasonable pressure, sticks to the paper. This easy process can be done at home for small applications.
