The 1-inch core (25.4mm inner paper core) is particularly popular in African markets such as Nigeria and Kenya, as well as countries like Germany and Nicaragua. What is BOPP Thermal Lamination Film?
BOPP Thermal Laminating Film is primarily made of BOPP + EVA. We use an extrusion coating process to combine these two layers. In the final film, one side has the properties of BOPP film and the other side becomes a heat-sensitive surface used for dry lamination. This product has two classifications: glossy/shine/transparent and matte/opaque, both available in thicknesses from 14 micron to 32 micron. Width ranges from 180mm to 1880mm and length from 150m (1 inch core, 25mm) to 4000m (3 inch core, 76mm).

How to Use BOPP Thermal Lamination Film?
A laminating machine (typically called a hot laminator) is required to use BOPP Thermal Laminating Film by melting the EVA into substrates such as paper. During the process, the film is passed over a heated roller and, under reasonable pressure, sticks to the paper. This process is easy to use and can be done at home for small applications. Sometimes referred to as heat lamination, dry lamination, or hot lamination.
Operation Guidance on Laminating Process
Adjust roller pressure and temperature according to different types of paper and ink.
When using the film for the first time or changing the usual size, conduct a small trial before starting massive lamination.
Normal process temperature is 90°C-105°C (203°F - 221°F); roller pressure and temperature vary depending on paper type, ink, and machines.
Ensure the ink is completely dry before laminating. Delamination may occur if paper contains excessive moisture or powder.
Store materials in low-temperature, dry environments.
The following situations may affect final lamination quality:
Using metal ink
Ink containing excessive wax, dried oil, adhesive, silicon additive, etc.
Excessively thick ink application
Ink not completely dried
Excessively humid paper sheet
Too much powder on the surface
