Description:
The Remote Laser Methane Leak detector use Tunable Diode Laser Technology to provide low maintenance, easy-to-use, detection of methane from a safe distance, with a sensitivity to methane of 5ppm per metre. The field rugged design operates under a variety of field conditions, can detect up to 300 feet away allowing operators to safely survey in areas that may be difficult to reach such as busy roadways, yards with dogs, fenced off areas, compressor stations, overhead piping and other hard to access places.
Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS):
The core of these remote laser gas detection systems is often TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy). This laser gas detector technology emits a laser beam and measures how much of the laser light is absorbed by methane molecules in the air.
Advantages:
The remote laser gas detector range offers a 0.1 second response to detected methane, over an expected 10-year instrument life. User settable audible alerts allow an operator to quickly scan for methane over a wide area, without having to use a reflector. From Natural gas pipeline to biogas, fast leak detection means improved safety and environmental impact and increased profitability through reduction of gas loss and tighter management of infrastructure maintenance.
The remote laser gas detector has the longest detection distance on the market, with Bluetooth connection to mobile software, is ideal for recording GPS-linked readings along with notes of monitored components and locations.
