Airshower tunnel is an air shower equipment designed to provide clean air streams to personnel, materials and equipment that require access to a cleanroom environment. The article discusses the principles by which the Airshower Tunnel functions to emphasize its crucial role in the clean environment.
Working Principle
The airshower tunnel operates based on the principle of high-speed, turbulent airflows through which particles are removed from the surface of the personnel or material. The airflow is provided through nozzles that are located at specific positions, ensuring that the desired level of flow and turbulence is achieved. The velocity of the airflow exposes any loose contaminants on the personnel or material to strong air streams that blow them off.
The equipment consists of a blower, an air filter, nozzles, and a metal enclosure. The incoming air passes through high-efficiency particulate air filters (HEPA) that removes particles larger and smaller than 0.3 microns. The filtered air is then forced out of the nozzles, providing a laminar, high-speed airflow in the range of 20-25m/s.
