The detector continuously monitors for smoke and activates an audible alarm when smoke reaches the specified sensitivity level. Because it operates independently using two replaceable AA batteries, the alarm continues to provide protection even during electrical power interruptions.

The detector uses a photoelectric reflection sensor with a smoke sensitivity of 0.25dB/m, providing reliable smoke detection for residential applications.
Powered by 2 * 1.5V AA batteries, the detector remains operational during power failures and allows batteries to be replaced when necessary.
An alarm output of at least 85dB at 3 metres helps alert occupants quickly when smoke is detected.
With a standby current below 50μA, the detector is designed to maximize battery efficiency during normal operation.
Users can verify detector functionality at any time using the test button. The silence function temporarily mutes nuisance alarms for approximately 10 minutes after confirming there is no fire.
