Corrosion resistance and main use environment: 904L is designed for harsh corrosion conditions of a very low carbon content, high alloying austenitic stainless steel, than 316L and 317L has better corrosion resistance, while taking into account the price and performance, cost-effective. Due to the addition of 1.5% copper, it has excellent corrosion resistance to reducing acids such as sulfuric and phosphoric acid. The high nickel content of 904L reduces the corrosion rate in pits and crevices.
Supporting welding materials and welding process: 904L welding selection of ER385 wire and E385 electrode, welding size Φ1.6, 2.4, 2.5, 3.2, 4.0, application fields are: Petroleum and petrochemical equipment, such as reactors in petrochemical equipment, sulfuric acid storage and transportation equipment, such as heat exchangers, power plant flue gas desulfurization equipment, the main use parts are: Absorption tower body, flue, door panel, internals, spray system, etc., scrubber and fan in organic acid treatment system, seawater treatment device, seawater heat exchanger, paper industry equipment, sulfuric acid, nitric acid equipment, acid making, pharmaceutical industry and other chemical equipment, pressure vessels, food equipment, pharmaceutical factory: centrifuge, reactor, etc., plant food: Soy sauce tank, cooking wine, salt tank, equipment and dressing, the strong corrosive medium of dilute sulfuric acid 904L is the matching steel grade.
