ASTM A519 Grade 243 Carbon Steel Seamless Pipes are low carbon steel pipes with 0.12-0.20% carbon content combined with 0.40-0.80% manganese. These pipes, also known as mild steel pipes and tubes, are manufactured according to ASTM specifications and are commercially referred to as CS pipes or MS pipes.
Low carbon steel pipes offer cost-effective solutions with excellent formability and shaping characteristics. While not as hard as high carbon steel pipes, surface hardness can be increased through carburizing processes.
