SUPER DUPLEX A182 F55 is a super duplex stainless steel grade primarily used for flanges, fittings, and forged components in highly corrosive and high-pressure environments. Its applications include offshore operations, oil & gas facilities, desalination plants, and chemical processing plants. The material's exceptional strength and corrosion resistance are derived from its precisely balanced chemical composition.

Duplex Microstructure
Combines ferrite and austenite phases to deliver approximately double the yield strength of standard austenitic stainless steels like 316L, while maintaining good toughness and ductility with high resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride environments.
Exceptional Corrosion Resistance
Features very high PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number), typically exceeding 40. Provides strong resistance to localized corrosion (pitting, crevice) in seawater and chloride solutions, with good performance in sour service and chloride-stress environments.
High Strength & Weight Savings
The high strength allows for thinner wall designs or smaller cross-sections compared to standard stainless steels, resulting in significant weight reduction and material cost savings for demanding applications.
