1. Regular cleaning:
Acid washing: Utilize the oxidizing ability of acid to remove organic matter and other impurities that can be dissolved by acid on the surface of the noble metal thermocouple. First, coil the thermocouple wire into a circle with a diameter of about 80 mm and place it in a beaker. Then, pour in 30% to 50% (by volume ratio) of chemically pure dilute hydrochloric acid (or dilute nitric acid) and soak for one hour. After that, take it out and put it in the beaker again, and boil it with distilled water several times to completely remove the acid solution. The purpose of acid washing is to clean some organic matter and oxides on the electrode surface.
2. Annealing treatment: Annealing is to remove the internal stress in the electrode, improve the crystal phase of the high-temperature noble metal thermocouple, and enhance its stability. There are generally two annealing methods: electric annealing and furnace annealing. By controlling the appropriate annealing temperature and time, the desired purpose can be achieved.
3. Proper storage: When the noble metal thermocouple wire is not in use, it should be stored in a dry, clean, and dust-free environment to avoid being affected by moisture, dust, and other factors. At the same time, it should be stored separately from other metal objects to prevent scratches and collisions.
4. Check during use: Regularly check the connection status of the thermocouple wire during use to ensure that the connection is firm and there is no loosening or oxidation at the connection point. If any abnormalities are found, they should be dealt with in time to ensure the accuracy of temperature measurement.
5. Avoid overheating and overcooling: During the use of the noble metal thermocouple wire, avoid rapid heating and cooling to prevent the thermocouple wire from being damaged due to thermal stress.
