This PV‑BESS‑Diesel hybrid off‑grid BESS system is purpose‑built for industrial sites without reliable utility grid infrastructure. The whole system consists of PV panels, PCS(Power Conversion System), BESS battery energy storage system and diesel generator, serving continuous power for plant load.
The system runs under solar‑first operating logic. PV and BESS supply power to plant load preferentially. Surplus solar energy will be stored into BESS battery bank. When solar generation drops and battery SOC is insufficient, the diesel generator will auto‑engage as backup power source to guarantee power continuity.
Compared with running diesel generators alone, this solar‑diesel hybrid power solution drastically reduces diesel fuel consumption, lowers OPEX operating expenditure and cuts carbon emissions. It is widely applied for remote mines, agricultural farms, islands and other weak‑grid / off‑grid territories, especially popular for Africa & Middle East projects.
