The three key dimensions defined
Principle of composition
The fundamental difference between traditional aluminum composite panels (flammable) and fireproof aluminum composite panels (fire-resistant) lies in the core material:
Traditional type: The core material is pure polyethylene (PE) plastic. When exposed to fire, it melts rapidly, burns and drips, which will accelerate the spread of fire severely.
Fire-resistant type: The core material is specially treated flame-retardant material. According to different grades, they are mainly divided into:
Mineral-filled core materials: By adding a large amount of inorganic minerals (such as aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide) to the polymer, they decompose and absorb heat when heated, and have a good flame-retardant effect.
All-mineral core material/rock core: The core material is composed of completely non-combustible inorganic substances such as rock mineral fibers (like basalt), which is currently the type with the highest fire resistance rating.
