Product Description:
Space saving thermal insulated aluminium exterior folding door, also known as a "thermally broken" aluminum folding or bifold door, is a modern and energy-efficient solution for creating a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. These doors are designed to overcome the inherent conductivity of aluminum, which can transfer heat and cold, by incorporating a special insulating technology.
The key to a thermal insulated aluminum folding door is the thermal break. Aluminum is a highly conductive material, meaning it easily transfers heat. Without a thermal break, the cold from outside would transfer to the inner frame in winter, and the heat from outside would do the same in summer, leading to energy loss and condensation.
A thermal break is a non-conductive, insulating material often made of a rigid polyamide (a type of plastic) or a specially formulated resin that is inserted between the interior and exterior sections of the aluminum door frame. This break effectively disrupts the path of thermal energy, preventing heat transfer.
