ACSR JL/G1A 150/25 Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced Bare Overhead Transmission Conductor

This ACSR JL/G1A 150/25 conductor is a bare overhead transmission cable consisting of a galvanized steel core surrounded by concentric layers of stranded aluminum wires. The JL/G1A designation follows the Chinese standard naming convention for steel-reinforced aluminum conductors, while 150/25 refers to the nominal cross-sectional areas of the aluminum and steel components respectively. The steel core carries the tensile load, and the aluminum strands conduct current, making the conductor suitable for overhead transmission and distribution lines. The cable is supplied uninsulated for direct mounting on insulators and line hardware. The galvanized core provides corrosion protection, and the aluminum outer surface forms a natural oxide layer that resists weathering in outdoor service.

The Characteristics of ACSR:

1. JL/G1A Standard Designation
   The conductor follows the JL/G1A naming system, indicating a galvanized steel core combined with electrical-grade aluminum strands, supporting consistency in specification and procurement.

2. 150/25 Aluminum-to-Steel Configuration
   The 150/25 designation defines the nominal cross-sectional areas of the aluminum and steel components, determining the conductor's current-carrying capacity and mechanical reinforcement characteristics.

3. Galvanized Steel Core
   The zinc-coated core resists atmospheric corrosion while supplying the tensile strength required for overhead spans beyond the capability of all-aluminum conductors.

4. Concentric Stranded Aluminum Layers
   Electrical-grade aluminum wires are stranded in concentric layers around the core, forming a uniform conductive path and allowing the conductor to be reeled, strung, and tensioned with standard overhead line equipment.

5. Bare Overhead Construction
   Supplied without insulation for direct installation on insulators and support hardware, with the aluminum surface forming a natural oxide layer that resists weathering in typical outdoor environments.

Pay attention to the following steps during installation:

1. Tension control: It is recommended to control the tension at 20% -30% of the rated value to avoid excessive stretching.
2. Sag adjustment: Adjust the sag according to the ambient temperature, generally within the range of 1% -3% span.
3. Connection processing: Use specialized crimping tools, and the recommended crimping pressure is 20-30MPa.
