This bare ACSR (Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced) cable is manufactured to ASTM B232 and BS 215-2 standards, covering common designations such as Hawk, Drake, Raven, and Dog. The conductor combines outer aluminium 1350-H19 strands with a galvanized steel core, providing the mechanical reinforcement needed for overhead transmission and distribution lines. The steel core carries the tensile load, while the aluminium strands conduct current, making the cable suitable for long-span routes where both strength and conductivity are required. The conductor is supplied in bare form for direct installation on insulators and support structures. It is available in a range of stranding configurations and conductor sizes conforming to the referenced standards, suitable for high-voltage transmission, medium-voltage distribution, and substation connections.
