This AAC all aluminum conductor is a bare stranded cable designed for low voltage overhead power distribution at 0.6/1kV. The conductor is manufactured entirely from electrical-grade aluminum wires, stranded in concentric layers without a steel core. Air serves as the natural insulating medium between the bare conductor and surrounding structures, making this cable suitable for short-span utility distribution circuits. The all-aluminum construction simplifies jointing and termination, avoids dissimilar-metal contact at connections, and removes magnetic losses associated with steel-reinforced designs. The bare aluminum surface develops a thin oxide film for outdoor durability. This conductor is available in sizes suitable for distribution currents in the range of 50A to 65A, depending on installation conditions and span length.
