Custom EPS Styrofoam Lost Foam Mold – Aluminum Alloy 6063 Multi-Cavity Tooling, Fully CNC Machined for LFC Casting Patterns

This custom lost foam mold is produced from aluminum alloy 6063 and fully CNC machined into a multi-cavity tool for EPS styrofoam pattern manufacturing. The mold is designed for the lost foam casting route, where the molded foam pattern is later coated with refractory material, embedded in sand, and replaced by molten metal during pouring. Steam and cooling channels, venting paths, and ejection provisions are built into the tool to support uniform bead fusion and clean pattern release. The mold can be configured to customer drawings and is suitable for OEM and ODM casting programs that require repeatable foam pattern geometry and extended tool service life.

Mould Features

1. Aluminum Alloy 6063 Mold Body
   The tool is constructed from aluminum alloy 6063, which provides rapid thermal response during steam heating and cooling, resists moisture in foam molding service, and contributes to extended mold life.

2. Fully CNC Machined Cavities
   Cavity details, parting lines, and core features are machined on CNC equipment, helping maintain consistent foam pattern dimensions and surface quality across production cycles.

3. Multi-Cavity Tooling Layout
   The mold can be arranged with multiple cavities to produce several foam patterns per cycle, improving output efficiency for lost foam casting programs.

4. Integrated Steam and Cooling Channels
   Internal passages are positioned to deliver steam for bead expansion and water for cooling, supporting stable foam density and controlled cycle performance.

5. Venting and Ejection Provisions
   Vent paths and ejector locations are incorporated to promote complete cavity fill and allow clean removal of fragile foam patterns without damage.

6. We Have (TEF10N) coating on the mould surface, it can reduce the friction, anti water/static electricity/acid-base/high-temperature, with this we can ensure the pattern has smooth surface without distrotion, and easy to demould;
7. All the screws we using stainless steel screw, easy to disassemble during maintenance;
8. For the big mould chest, we using 18-20mm thick wrought aluminium plate, to offer high strenght cavity ;
9. For the complex mould which is difficult to demould, we can manufacture the automaitc mould with take out device ;
10. We produce the pattern sample to customer after finish the mould, when the pattern was qualified, then we do exceptance job for the mould ;
11. We have the Hexagon coordinate measuring instrument imported from the Switzerland to have a test make sure our mould qualified.
