Custom CNC Machined EPS/EPP Aluminum Alloy Lost Foam Mold Styrofoam Tooling for LFC Casting Patterns, OEM

This custom CNC-machined EPS/EPP aluminum alloy lost foam mold is engineered to produce expendable foam patterns for the lost foam casting (LFC) process. The cavity is machined according to the customer’s foam pattern drawing, with steam and cooling channels arranged to support uniform bead fusion and stable pattern release. The tool can be configured in single or multi-cavity layouts and is applied to foam pattern production for automotive, machine tool, and industrial castings. From design review to trial molding, the mold is developed around the dimensional and surface requirements of the downstream metal pouring operation.

Mould Features

1. Customized Cavity Geometry
   The cavity is machined to match the customer’s foam pattern drawing, with draft, parting, and core details adapted to the lost foam casting route.

2. Aluminum Alloy Tool Body
   The mold body is made from aluminum alloy, offering rapid thermal response, resistance to steam exposure, and manageable weight for handling and setup.

3. Steam and Cooling Integration
   Internal channels are arranged to deliver steam for bead expansion and water for cooling, helping maintain consistent foam pattern density and dimensions.

4. Venting and Release Design
   Vent paths and ejector provisions are incorporated to support complete cavity fill and clean removal of fragile foam patterns.

5. Modular Cavity Arrangement
   The tool can be built with single or multiple cavities, using replaceable inserts and split-block construction to simplify maintenance and future geometry changes.

6. We Have (TEF10N) coating on the mould surface, it can reduce the friction, anti water/static electricity/acid-base/high-temperature, with this we can ensure the pattern has smooth surface without distrotion, and easy to demould;
7. All the screws we using stainless steel screw, easy to disassemble during maintenance;
8. For the big mould chest, we using 18-20mm thick wrought aluminium plate, to offer high strenght cavity ;
9. For the complex mould which is difficult to demould, we can manufacture the automaitc mould with take out device ;
10. We produce the pattern sample to customer after finish the mould, when the pattern was qualified, then we do exceptance job for the mould ;
11. We have the Hexagon coordinate measuring instrument imported from the Switzerland to have a test make sure our mould qualified.
