Lost Foam Mold for Machine Tool Bed Castings – EPS Foam Tooling, OEM/ODM

This custom lost foam mold is built to produce expendable EPS foam patterns for machine tool bed castings. The tool is machined from aluminum alloy, with cavity geometry shaped to match the bed casting layout and the downstream lost foam process. Steam and cooling circuits are arranged to support even bead fusion, while venting and ejection features help release fragile foam patterns without damage. The mold can be configured for OEM/ODM programs and adapted to single or multi-cavity production. Mould Features

1. Pattern-Specific Cavity Design
   Cavity details, draft angles, and parting lines are developed from the customer’s foam pattern requirements, ensuring the molded EPS shape suits the lost foam casting route.

2. Aluminum Tool Construction
   The mold body is made from aluminum alloy, which offers rapid thermal response, resistance to steam exposure, and manageable tool weight for handling and setup.

3. Integrated Steam and Cooling Circuits
   Internal channels are positioned to deliver steam for bead expansion and water for cooling, helping maintain consistent pattern density across production cycles.

4. Venting and Ejection Provisions
   Vent paths and ejector locations are incorporated to promote complete cavity fill and allow clean removal of delicate foam patterns.

5. Flexible Cavity Configuration
   The tool can be arranged for single or multiple cavities, with replaceable inserts and split-block construction to simplify maintenance and future geometry adjustments.

Our Advantages

6. We Have (TEF10N) coating on the mould surface, it can reduce the friction, anti water/static electricity/acid-base/high-temperature, with this we can ensure the pattern has smooth surface without distrotion, and easy to demould;
7. All the screws we using stainless steel screw, easy to disassemble during maintenance;
8. For the big mould chest, we using 18-20mm thick wrought aluminium plate, to offer high strenght cavity ;
9. For the complex mould which is difficult to demould, we can manufacture the automaitc mould with take out device ;
10. We produce the pattern sample to customer after finish the mould, when the pattern was qualified, then we do exceptance job for the mould ;
11. We have the Hexagon coordinate measuring instrument imported from the Switzerland to have a test make sure our mould qualified.
