5-40 Tons Aluminum Billet Homogenizing Furnace Before Extrusion
Product introduction
This 5-40 ton natural gas homogenizing system is tailor-engineered for thermal homogenization treatment of extra-long aluminum billets, with maximum work piece length reaching 6500 mm. The complete production line consists of a primary heating furnace, independent cooling compartment and three-dimensional transfer trolley. All units coordinate seamlessly to build a fully automated closed-loop production workflow for aluminum processing.
The main heating furnace adopts three independent temperature control zones and is fitted with six natural gas combustion burners. Three heavy-duty circulation fans are mounted inside the furnace; each fan delivers airflow above 30 m³/s to realize uniform temperature distribution throughout the furnace workspace. The system’s peak working temperature hits 610℃, with temperature deviation restricted within ±5℃. Typically, it takes 3–5 hours for aluminum billets to achieve targeted homogenization temperature. Powered by natural gas with a heating value of 8400 kcal/m³, the system maintains economical fuel usage, consuming approximately 30 cubic meters of gas for each ton of aluminum processed. Its daily throughput ranges from 30 tons to 40 tons.
The matched cooling station comes equipped with 27 cooling fans. It achieves a minimum cooling rate of 300℃ per hour, and the full cooling cycle can be completed within around two hours, meeting standardized metallurgical cooling specifications. The 3D transfer trolley boasts a rated load capacity exceeding 15 tons and a maximum moving stroke over 8000 mm. Primary and auxiliary trolleys operate at a travelling speed of 7.5 m/min. Combined electro-hydraulic drive architecture ensures steady, reliable workpiece transportation during continuous operation.
The entire production line is managed by an automation control platform built around a PLC controller. Standard 380V three-phase power and 220V single-phase power serve as power input. Characterized by consistent operational stability, outstanding productivity and minimized energy waste, this integrated furnace solution serves as an ideal equipment option for medium-volume aluminum billet homogenization manufacturing.
