Product Description

 

The product is an extra-long screw-in spiral expansion anchor specifically designed for fastening through thick insulation boards, multi-layer drywall assemblies, double plasterboard partitions, and acoustic panel systems. With extended sleeve lengths from 70 mm to 120 mm, the anchor penetrates through thick surface layers to achieve secure anchoring in the base wall material. The continuous spiral thread along the full anchor length provides uniform expansion contact from the surface layer all the way to the deep substrate, distributing anchoring force evenly and preventing the common failure mode where short anchors grip only the surface board while leaving deeper layers unsecured. Why do I need extra-long anchors for thick wall assemblies?
 
Standard short anchors (17-55 mm) only grip the surface board layer, leaving deeper insulation or multi-layer panels unsecured. When load is applied, the surface board alone may not withstand the force, causing pull-out. Our 70-120 mm extra-long anchors reach through all layers into the solid base substrate, anchoring the entire wall assembly securely.
 

 

 
How do I calculate the correct anchor length for my wall system?
 
Add your total board thickness (all layers combined) plus minimum 25 mm embedment depth into the substrate, plus the fixture bracket thickness. For example: 50 mm insulation + 12.5 mm drywall + 25 mm embedment + 5 mm bracket = 92.5 mm, so choose our 100 mm anchor.
 

 

 
Can these extra-long anchors be used with insulation materials that compress easily?
 
Yes. For compressible insulation such as mineral wool and glass wool, we recommend using a wider head washer or cap to prevent the anchor head from sinking into the soft insulation layer. This ensures the fixture remains flush and properly supported.
 

 

 
Do you offer matching extra-long screws for these anchors?
 
Yes, we supply matching extended-length zinc-plated screws in the same length range (70-120 mm) to pair with the extra-long anchor sleeves. Mixed anchor-and-screw bulk orders are welcome.
