The Weatherproof PA66 Winged Nylon Expansion Anchor is molded from premium PA66 engineering nylon for installations in chemically aggressive, high-humidity, coastal, and outdoor corrosive environments where standard nylon PA6 anchors would degrade prematurely. PA66 offers superior resistance to strong acids, alkalis, industrial solvents, salt spray, chlorine exposure, and sustained UV radiation, making it the definitive choice for marine, chemical plant, wastewater treatment, and outdoor electrical installations.
The winged barb lock mechanism operates identically to the standard PA6 version but in a material platform rated for continuous exposure to harsh conditions. The side wing deploys as the screw is driven in, forming a barb lock that maintains its mechanical integrity even after years of chemical and UV exposure that would embrittle standard nylon.
Pair with stainless steel screws for a complete corrosion-proof anchoring system. The smooth tapered nose guides the PA66 anchor into the drill hole for hammer-set insertion, and the pre-alignment collar accepts 2-3 pre-turns for single-unit handling. PA66 also maintains structural integrity at sustained temperatures up to 120°C, outperforming standard PA6 in hot industrial and direct-sunlight applications.
