Insulation Board Winged Nylon Expansion Anchor Extra Long Barb Lock Sleeve Plug for EPS XPS Thermal Wall Panel Fixing
The Insulation Board Winged Nylon Expansion Anchor features an extra-long 80-140mm sleeve body specifically designed to penetrate through external thermal insulation panels (EPS, XPS, mineral wool) and anchor securely into the structural brick or concrete substrate behind. The extended body passes through insulation layers up to 100mm thick while embedding a full 40mm in the base wall for positive structural anchoring.
The side wing is positioned near the anchor tip, ensuring the barb lock forms entirely within the structural substrate and not in the soft insulation layer. This guarantees that the mechanical interlock and expansion grip are achieved in the load-bearing wall, while the smooth upper sleeve section simply holds the insulation panel firmly against the wall surface without crushing or compressing the insulation material.
The smooth tapered nose guides the long anchor through the insulation panel and into the substrate drill hole without jamming or folding. The pre-alignment collar accepts 2-3 pre-turns of the long screw, enabling single-unit insertion through the insulation into the wall. The nylon PA6 body is rust-proof and resists alkaline attack from cement render and mortar, ensuring decades of reliable performance in external wall insulation systems.
