Light Duty Winged Nylon Expansion Anchor Mini Barb Lock Sleeve Plug for Plasterboard Drywall Hollow Wall Fixing
The Light-Duty Winged Nylon Expansion Anchor is designed specifically for plasterboard, drywall, and hollow wall substrates. The slim sleeve body features a reduced-diameter wing tab that deploys gently behind the cavity wall lining without cracking the paper facing or gypsum core. The smooth tapered nose cone allows hammer insertion with minimal impact force, reducing the risk of denting the plasterboard surface.
The pre-alignment collar accepts 2 pre-turns of the screw for single-unit handling during overhead and awkward-angle installation. When the screw is driven in, the small wing deploys outward behind the panel, creating a positive mechanical barb that prevents spinning or pull-back. The nylon PA6 body is rust-free and acid-alkali resistant for humid bathrooms and kitchens.
Installation follows the standard winged anchor workflow adapted for light substrates: drill a clean hole with a sharp bit to prevent paper tear-out, remove dust, pre-thread the screw 2 turns, insert the tapered anchor and hammer gently flush, then drive the screw until the wing deploys and the fixture is secure.
