The HPE Aruba J9995A module enhances the scalability and security of Aruba 5400R zl2 switches, delivering 8 Smart Rate multi-gigabit ports (1/2.5/5/10GBASE-T) with PoE+ support for powering access points, IP phones, and IoT devices. Built for enterprise performance, this module supports MACsec v3 encryption (not enabled at first release) to protect sensitive data across wired connections.

Up to (12) open module slots, maximum. Supports a maximum of (288) 10/100/1000 ports or (288) SFP ports or (96) SFP+ ports or (96) HPE Smart Rate Multi-Gigabit or (24) 40 GbE ports, or a combination. Pre-configured models, some with PoE/PoE+, can support 10/100/1000 GbE, 10 GbE and 40GbE.

PoE capability
PoE allocations supports multiple methods (automatic, IEEE 802.3af class, LLDP‑MED, or user‑specified) to allocate PoE power for more efficient energy savings on select models.
