The Role of LBR iiwa Small Robot in Measurement and Inspection in Plastic Processing
Calibration on the Road to Industry 4.0
In the first step of the automated measurement process, LBR iiwa takes out the measurement device from a transportation unit. Next, the sensitive robot system feeds the measuring device into the reading machine in the correct position. In addition to scanning, the measuring device is also blown clean with air to remove dust and avoid measurement distortion. If the system recognizes the measuring device, LBR iiwa will fix it in the clamping device. The corresponding measurement program will be loaded and automated measurement will begin - i.e. calibration will follow Industry 4.0 closely. After the measurement process is completed, the robot picks up the measurement device again and places it in the second transport unit. Successfully calibrated certificates will be automatically created.
