CRAMOS TAKrags 1020 is a thick nonwoven tack cloth developed for the final dust-control stage before spray painting. It is used after sanding, blowing and required degreasing, helping operators remove loose dust, fine particles and fibers from a dry, room-temperature surface before coating.

The product combines a flexible nonwoven fabric with a tacky resin treatment. Instead of wiping the surface like an ordinary rag, the operator lightly glides the folded cloth across the workpiece. The tacky surface is intended to pick up loose contamination while helping reduce dust redistribution during the last preparation step.

With its 35 * 35 cm unfolded size, CRAMOS 1020 offers a broad working area and can be folded into several usable sections. This supports controlled use across vehicle panels, metal components, bicycle frames, motorcycle repair parts and other coating-ready surfaces.

It is designed as a final dust-removal consumable—not as a degreaser, polishing cloth, solvent wipe, abrasive cleaning cloth or substitute for correct substrate preparation.

The nonwoven construction is intended for clean handling and gentle contact over prepared surfaces. Compared with ordinary workshop cloths, it is designed for paint-preparation tasks where loose fibers and airborne dust can influence final coating appearance.

The tacky resin treatment helps capture loose sanding debris, fine dust and fibers. Correct technique is essential: light contact is enough. Heavy rubbing is unnecessary and should be avoided.

Each 35 * 35 cm sheet can be folded into a compact hand pad. As the outer face becomes dust-loaded, the cloth can be opened and refolded to reveal a cleaner inner section.

When used as part of a complete preparation process, CRAMOS 1020 may help reduce the loose particles that can contribute to visible dust nibs or roughness in finished coatings.

The cloth is packed in a 10-piece box for convenient shop use. Keeping unused cloths inside the box helps protect them from unnecessary workshop dust before use.

CRAMOS 1020 is normally used near the end of the surface-preparation sequence:

1. Complete body repair, filler work or substrate treatment.
2. Sand according to the coating-system requirement.
3. Blow off loose sanding dust with clean air where applicable.
4. Degrease using a compatible cleaning product when required.
5. Allow cleaner residue to evaporate fully.
6. Use CRAMOS 1020 lightly as the final dust-removal step.
7. Spray primer, basecoat, topcoat or clearcoat without unnecessary delay.

The tack cloth should not be expected to correct poor sanding, remove embedded dirt, replace degreasing or compensate for an unclean spray environment.

Allow the Part to Reach Room Temperature

Confirm that the workpiece is dry and fully cooled. Do not use the tack cloth on freshly baked, hot or heat-soaked panels.

Unfold One Cloth

Remove one CRAMOS 1020 cloth from the box and unfold it completely. Keep the remaining cloths protected in the original packaging.

Fold into a Hand-Sized Pad

Fold the cloth in half and fold again to create a layered square slightly larger than the palm. This creates several accessible working surfaces.

Glide Lightly Across the Surface

Place the cloth gently over the panel and make a smooth, controlled pass. Use only the light pressure naturally supplied by the hand.

Do not press hard, polish, scrub, twist or repeatedly rub back and forth.

Change to a Fresh Working Face

When the exposed area has collected dust, unfold and refold the cloth to bring a clean section to the outside. Replace it when no clean face remains.

Proceed to Painting

After final tack wiping, move to spraying as soon as practical. A cleaned surface may attract new airborne dust if left exposed too long.

For sensitive substrates, specialty coatings or controlled production processes, confirm suitability through internal process validation before large-scale use.

What is CRAMOS TAKrags 1020 mainly used for?

How do I know when to change or refold the cloth?

Can it prevent every dust nib in the finished paint film?

No. It can help remove loose surface particles, but dust defects can also come from booth cleanliness, air filtration, compressed air quality, operator clothing, coating material and spraying conditions.

How should unopened and remaining cloths be stored?

Keep them in the original box in a clean, cool and dry environment. After taking out one sheet, close the box promptly to help protect the remaining cloths from dust and unnecessary drying.
