Product Description:
269PLUS-DO-211-100P-120VAC is a motor relay system that is a part of the 269 Plus Motor Management Relay series, distributed by GE Multilin. The purpose of this motor relay system is to provide protection to 3-phase motor systems as they function near their operational limits. This device uses current transformers to monitor electrical characteristics of the motor. This drive uses 100 Ohm platinum resistance thermal detectors (RTD) for temperature monitoring. Key features of the drive include, but are not limited to, custom curve selectability, motor statistical records, speed switch input, differential relay input, 10 RTD inputs, the single-shot emergency restart feature, an RS485 communications port, unbalance input to thermal memory, the start inhibiting feature, and the spare input.
When the RTD hot motor compensation feature is selected, feedback from the stator temperature is measured by RTDs and the thermal capacity model is verified. A RTD bias curve is used to match thermal characteristics in order to visualize damage curves (hot and cold). This monitoring of temperature allows the 269PLUS-DO-211-100P-120VAC Multilin GE Motor Management Relay to use temperature to guage potential damage at extreme temperatures.
The Multilin 269PLUS-DO-211-100P-120VAC has four outputs, as does all 269 PLUS Multilin motor management relays. The main relay (that is latched) is the trip output. There is also an alarm relay and two aux relays. The single analog output is present which is useful to indiate motor current, bearing RTD or hottest stator RTD.
