The Bently Nevada 31000‑28‑05‑15‑030‑00‑02 Proximity Probe Housing is a housing assembly from Bently Nevada, model series 31000 (i.e., the “31000/32000”
series of proximity-probe housings) in which a proximity probe (such as the 3300 XL) can be mounted externally to the machine casing.It
allows external access to the probe and its extension cable, which means the gap or probe can be
adjusted/replaced without complete machine disassembly.

2. Can I use this housing in an explosion-proof application?A: No — the 31000/32000 housing is not listed as explosion-proof. The datasheet states: “The housing… is intended to provide mechanical and environmental protection only.” If an explosion-proof housing is required, you must use the alternative models (such as the 21000 or 24701 series) that are rated for that. |
3. What probe is installed/compatible?A: This variant uses option “28” which corresponds to the 3300 XL 8 mm probe with connector and multiple approvals. The housing is built to accommodate that probe cable length of 0.5 m in this variant. your monitoring system. |
4.
