| Q1: Is this probe compatible with other cables or sensors in the 3300 system? can mix and match probes and cables (that meet the specification) without needing to re-bench calibrate each component. However, when mixing ensure that the cable impedance, connectors, and mechanical mounting meet the required specification. |
| Q2: What is the “armour” feature (since model is 330102) and when is it required? probe and cable assembly (armoured cable). This is useful in harsh industrial environments (mechanical abrasion, high vibration, risk of damage). If your installation is less severe you might choose the “without armour” version (330101) which is lighter and less expensive. |
| Q3: What happens if I choose a longer or shorter cable than 5.0 m? (“10”, “20”, “90”, etc) in the ordering suffix. The specification supports them. However, any deviation from the specified combination should still ensure the total system impedance, cable type, and calibration remain within spec. Excessive cable length may increase capacitance and degrade signal quality if not designed for it. |
