It is a critical rubber hose assembly connecting the electric water pump outlet to the engine water jacket and split cooling circuits—the water pump outlet hose. This hose delivers coolant pressurized by the electric water pump to the cylinder block and cylinder head water jackets, playing a vital role in the coolant circulation path. Its sealing performance, temperature resistance, and flow capacity directly affect engine thermal management efficiency and overall vehicle reliability.

The Xiaoyun 1.5L naturally aspirated engine in the BYD Qin PLUS DM-i features Atkinson cycle operation with an ultra-high compression ratio of 15.5:1 and a maximum thermal efficiency exceeding 43%, surpassing the traditional gasoline engine peak compression ratio of 12:1. The engine adopts split cooling thermal management technology (cylinder head and block separation design with dual thermostats), along with an electric water pumpcooled EGR, and other advanced technologies. The split cooling system uses independent circuits to cool the cylinder head and block separately, significantly accelerating engine warm-up speed. The lubricating oil reaches its ideal operating temperature more quickly, reducing friction and improving thermal efficiency. The electric water pump works in coordination with the electronic thermostat, with the ECU precisely controlling pump speed via PWM signals for "on-demand cooling." As the first section of the coolant circuit downstream from the water pump, the outlet hose typically includes two branches—Water Pump Outlet Hose 1 and Water Pump Outlet Hose 2—leading to the cylinder head and cylinder block respectively in the split cooling design.
