IEC 60884-1 ‘Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes – Part 1: General requirements’ clause 23.2 and figure 20.
Application of Apparatus for testing cord retention:
Rewirable plugs and rewirable portable socket-outlets shall be provided with a cord anchorage such that the conductors are relieved from strain, including twisting, where they are connected to the terminals and that their covering is protected from abrasion.
Apparatus for testing cord retention is used to check the effectiveness of the retention of the cable by the cord anchorage.
