In conventional flood control scenes, aluminum demountable flood barrier can efficiently protect the dry area behind it, but if the flood level exceeds its maximum designed flood protection height, water would finally over top the panels and intrude the dry area, because the top of the demountable flood barrier is not sealed but open. For those doors which require complete sealing even when the flood has submerged the full door height, such as computer rooms, control rooms equipped with valuable electrical devices, etc., our watertight flood gate is a good option for such flood mitigation requirements.
This heavy-duty watertight door is ideal for openings with light traffic that need to be sealed quickly and easily in the event of flooding. The main structure of the flood door is engineered in mild steel or stainless steel sheets powder coated in fluorocarbon anti-weathering paint with supporting frames in both horizontal and vertical directions as reinforcement, with a smart design of EPDM seals around the edge of the gate being mechanically controlled by a rotating handwheel in the gate with minimal maintenance requirements, it can quickly sealed the doorway in great watertightness against every flood threat.
These flood gates doors are ideal for heavy industrial plants, utilities and civic facilities for doors that requires infrequent access and needs to be sealed around the entire perimeter. Common applications include mechanical rooms, auxiliary power units and storage rooms that must be kept dry in case of flooding.
For those doors in large opening which should be split into 2 leafs, it has a design of removable central column in the middle to make sure the installation is very easy, it is designed in customized dimension to fit the doorway and it is in a simple but firm hinge design to fix on wall. Normally it is designed as an outward door, because the water pressure on the front of the door will push the gate more firmly to the gaskets to increase the watertightness. For those doors without human attention, it can be customized in remote control by mobile APP or automatically driven by a detecting sensor of flood level as option.
