Product Introduction

Queue length at an entrance is decided by seconds. When each person needs three or four seconds to present a card, wait for the arms and step through, a shift change or a metro peak period turns into a long line. The KMS-T558 fast passage speed gate turnstile cuts that time to the minimum: the identity check is completed while the person walks up to the lane, the brushless drive opens the acrylic arms in 0.5 seconds, and the next person can already be verified.

In normally-open mode the lane keeps the arms retracted and only closes when an unauthorised person or a tailgater is detected, raising throughput to about 40 people per minute per lane while six pairs of infrared sensors still guard the passage. The 304 stainless steel cabinet, 600 mm to 1500 mm adjustable channel width and high cycle brushless motor make the gate suitable for office towers, factories, schools, stadiums, metro entrances and any site where pedestrian flow must move quickly without losing control.

Six pairs of infrared sensors monitor the lane in real time. If a second person follows, the arms close instantly and an alarm sounds, so fast passage never becomes uncontrolled passage.

4. Wide lanes for luggage, trolleys and wheelchairs

Channel width is adjustable from 600 mm to 1500 mm, allowing wide lanes where bags, trolleys, wheelchairs and two-way flows must pass quickly without friction.

5. High cycle brushless motor for continuous peak load

The 80 W brushless drive is rated for more than 5 million cycles and designed for repeated start and stop at peak hours, with low noise and low heat in continuous operation.

6. Fast integration with existing access systems

Relay, 12V level, 12V pulse, RS485 and TCP/IP interfaces let the gate connect to existing card, face and QR platforms in a short commissioning time, so throughput improves without replacing the whole system.

About 30 people per minute in normally-closed mode and about 40 people per minute in normally-open mode, depending on the credential type and user habits.

Q2: Does normally-open mode weaken security?

No. The infrared sensor array still detects unauthorised entry and tailgating, and the arms close immediately when a violation is detected.

Q3: Which credentials support the fastest passage?

Face recognition and long range card or QR readers give the fastest flow because verification completes before the user reaches the lane. Fingerprint and password are slower.

Q4: Can the lane width be widened for trolleys and wheelchairs?

Yes. Channel width can be set from 600 mm to 1500 mm, and cabinet length can be customised for wide or double lanes.
