This is the primary international standard that specifies requirements and tests for cable tray and cable ladder systems. For heavy-duty ladders, it includes Class C (150 kg/m) and Class D (200 kg/m) load ratings. Compliance is certified for the European market through the CE Marking under the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU).
NEMA VE 1
This North American standard is crucial for projects in the U.S. and Canada. It provides classifications like 12C, 16A, and 20C to define load capacities with a safety factor of 1.5. It also includes requirements for the ladder tray to function as an equipment grounding conductor per NEC 392.60.
GB/T 21762
This is the Chinese national standard that is equivalent to IEC 61537. It details requirements and tests for cable ladder systems used in electrical installations.
