Single direction thrust ball bearings comprise a shaft washer, a housing washer, and a ball and cage thrust assembly. The bearing features a separable design, enabling straightforward mounting as the washers and the ball and cage assembly can be installed independently.
As the name implies, single direction thrust ball bearings are designed to accommodate axial loads in one direction only, providing axial shaft location in a single direction. These bearings are not capable of supporting any radial load.
Intended for applications involving unidirectional axial loading with no radial load present.
Double direction thrust ball bearings consist of one shaft washer, two housing washers, and two ball and cage thrust assemblies. The separable construction allows for simple mounting, with all components installable separately. The housing washers and ball and cage thrust assemblies are identical to those used in single direction thrust ball bearings.
Double direction thrust ball bearings are capable of accommodating axial loads in both directions, thereby providing axial shaft location in both directions. These bearings must not be subjected to radial load.
Suitable for applications requiring bidirectional axial load capacity with no radial load.
